LOWESTOFT to LAND'S END

Wending my way West, following an inland route through England to Cornwall
In aid of the BBC Children in Need 2023 and the British Skin Foundation

What's it all about and why I'm doing it...

On 1st May 2023, I will be undertaking a 36 day long distance walk from Lowestoft to Lands End, following a new Inland route. It's all mapped out now, it's 570 miles crossing east to west. I've stitched together many established national trails and other footpaths to create this new Inland route.

I'll be camping most of the way so will be carrying all my kit from Tent to Toothbrush taking in the scenery and meeting fascinating people along the way.

I aim to make the walk as low-carbon as possible, camping and using renewable technology to make the trip as off-grid and digitally enabled as possible - posting on social media each day without 'plugging in', after which I will be producing a Podcast.

I will be highlighting various areas and places of Scientific, Historic, Natural and Ecological interest along the way, interviewing experts in different fields for each episode.

I'll be raising money f
or these charities:

A unique journey through the country, hearing tales, telling stories and filling my boots with the beauty that imbues these isles.

Rambling Tales will follow Ed from route mapping to planning to getting out there and mooching from Lowestoft, England's most easterly point, to Land's End, Cornwall's farthest and most westerly point.

Anything you'd like me to cover in the Podcast?
I will be highlighting various areas and places of Scientific, Historic, Natural and Ecological (etc) interest along the way - take a look at the route - is there anything anywhere you think I could include?
